Important Notice (All Services)

The hosting server is being updated and patched. The Installatron script installer is back and spam assassin is going in. All known issues relating to the server move are being addressed. Please keep an eye on this thread to report of any other known problems. We may need to reboot as part of this process.

The Helpdesk is being moved to a new server this afternoon - there should be no downtime but email collection may be delayed.

The Forum will be moved to a new server over the next 24 hours. Again, there should be no downtime but if there is, you'll know why...

Those of you who are less than happy with the delays should remember that like many of you, I have a job, a hosting company, a family/relationships who expect some time from me and a house and garden to maintain as well as a lot of Scouting to do. If you really think that your hosting is mission critical I suggest you purchase a package where margins allow for staff to monitor servers and respond to tickets 24/7. Remember it costs Daniel, Richard and I a reasonable sum of money each month to deliver what you have so far.

OK, moan over, I'll get back to ticking things off the list, any problems, please reply below

Cheers Max, the hosting server is down at the minute, a technician is heading to the data centre to sort the problem. We've got a contractor looking at some bigger issues too.

Installatron and Joomla

Hi chaps

installatron is moaning about not being able to create a MySQL Database. is that due to the same issue as we are seeing in DirectAdmin?

As always, no-one has a right to complain. We get a damned good resource for free, thanks to you guys and whilst we might get frustrated with delays, we have to respect that you are all volunteers and will do what you can when you can.

I have an Exec meeting tonight and I'm asking that we send a donation for you to use as you feel you need to for the furthering of Escouts.

It may have been some other changes that trigged it then, but you where missing your NS records.

Fixed, same issue as Chris, probably more to do with the way its been copied over

When you get the chance could you have a look at 9th.southcraven.escouts.net too? It's not resolvable either.
