Scouting on Childrens programme

Am sat here working at home and have tv on in back ground. Lazytown is on and is focused on Scouting! don;t know the programme very well, but seems to be bad versus good and the characters are looking for people to help go Scouting! Good points made about what Scouting is about - activity, hiking, camping, having fun - don;t know if this prog is british or american - seems to be american they have lemon squeeser hats and funny uniforms!
look out for the four year olds who want to join!

It's Icelandic, while I was in hospital last year, I read a ridiculous number of newspapers (each day), and one was talking about the Icelandic Invasion, and it has a picture of the lazytown characters across the page.

Edit

In fact, I am wrong, according to wikipedia:

A really first class article in the Saturday Telegraph magazine. Every fact correct, as far as I can see, and a great attitude:

"Muslim only Groups are a good starting point, but through County and National events, the children are involved in the wider community."

Also, a lovely comment, that Scouting is fundamentally British/English, so it helps Muslim kids to integrate.

Just the sort of thing we have been looking for!

The article can be viewed at http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.../smscout20.xml

I agree it is a very good piece and nice to see Scouts getting some decent positive PR

We've had a great double page spread on Scouting in the main Cambridgeshire paper today - the Cambridge Evening News. Had lots of great pics too but they don't put those on the web.

The article MikeJ posted also featured in all of the Kent Messenger newspapers, thus KM Malling & District, KM Maidstone etc etc....

So was county wide coverage with that!
