ill dig out my exam time table today, Im not booked on any god forsaken trips so I will be free to go given enough notice, how central are we looking?
My usual stipulation, the longer the notice the cheaper the flights. In the past we have tried to have something central. Maybe we could have it year about where one year it is further north and the next further south. Just a thought.
(Gavin, i see our cunning plan worked, all except the Garden anyway)

For me its always been too far for me to feel confident to drive all the way down on my own. If we went with TRHs idea and had it further north, say in North Yorkshire theres some fantastic campsites in the National Park, my personal favourite is called Raven Gill.

You could even do one camp, southern England, next came northern England, next camp scotland, next camp wales. pleases most people then. I think somewhere in Northumberland would be good as it's easy for people coming from london, think stops are Newcastle and Berwick, and out of those Berwick is better. (not biased at all, seeing some of my family are from there)

It would have to be fairly local for us to visit, won't be able to camp this year!

Northumberland is right on the eastern part of the Scottish border - from London the journey time would be over 6 hours by car not taking into account rest stops.

Katy....is your Garden Free?![]()
Why not? Baenie will like it and whe will not be mobile yet! I went camping with my sone when he was 1 month old! Much more difficult the next year when he was mobile and if you blinked he'd push his rolling lion car two campsites away in whatever direction it was pointed!
PS:Hold the camp in Canada - vitrually eliminates the driving problem, gives everyone the same travel time and I can get a camp for free!!
My sister went camping with my niece when she was a few months old.
