    Whats on offer for adults?

Being new to scouting, but an old hand at guiding, I would like to find out what residential events/trainings are available to me, how do I find out about this?

    Adult Training

Google would have lead you there eventually but the scouting adult training links are here
If it was easy, it wouldn't be so much fun...

You don't say where you are but a good place to start if you want to keep your training reasonably local try contacting your Training Advisor or Local Training Manager who should be able to point you in the right direction. Depending on where you are your county web site should also give details of up and coming training and events.

Its also worth remembering there are differences between guide and scout rules so its worth revueing things you already know from guiding, the basics may be the same but there could well be subtle differences which can make quiet a difference to how things are organised.

No, unfortunately I cannot get away with claiming to be within that age group.

Memboo - there is not as much training that is Adult only like the Guides ones you mention - ex guider myself... probably the Gilwell Reunion is the place to start and then talk to your training advisior....

For those that don;t know - Guiding runs residential events for leaders, which include learning new skills, practising crafts for your age group, pamper weekends, hiking weekends and trips abroad - so leaders can try before they carry out in their own section... they are often National Events at regional centres.... I think they would be a great asset to Scouting!
