Just a thought, but could the servers that the website is hosted on simply not be up to scratch for an adult membership of ~100 000?

Sometimes scouts.org.uk works like a charm - fast and useful...

Other times its a "Computer says no" situation...

I've downloaded an entire districts worth of membership records in two seconds... other times it takes minutes to perform a simple search.

Maybe the server just gets clogged up at times and just can't handle the load?

It's been nearly two months since the magazine was published and the new site was being described as "live".

    What's going on?

I used to look through Scoutbase several times a week. I hardly ever look at scouts.org, it is just too painfull.

It seems to be an increasing problem with large organisations that they sacrifice ease of use for pretty looking gimmicks that drag down the performance and still get very dated very quickly.
To get more kids we need more adults - are we getting the message yet?

Well, the new website which is apparently better hasn't been launched yet.

The Scout Association have been "getting IT right" for ages now and barely anything has happened.

Scouts.org = Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

I have been trying for 1½ hours tonight I have had the front screen load 3 times when I log in the page freezes if I go to resources without logging in the page freezes....aaarrrggggg

I was trying to find clipart again, and followed Chris' link earlier on and it had an error.
