    Rifle form

Is there an actual generic rifle form, or is it just create one/borrow one.

there is a suggested form on the Scout shooting factsheet (http://www.scoutbase.org.uk/library/...s/fs120004.pdf) but you can easily make your own, it just has to get formal permission from the parent for the youngster to take part in shooting.

Its also suggested that the form asks the parent to confirm that the yp is not restricted from handling firearms by "Section 21 of the 1968 Firearms Act" which "prohibits the possession of a firearm and ammunition by any person who has been convicted of a crime and sentenced to a term of imprisonment or its equivalent for young persons of 3 months or more."

Use the prescribed form. You then meet the legal requirements and if you don't you can point at the SA and say, but they said to use this form.

good point ewan. Some bits though aren't relevent. There is one in my YPS handbook so may use that one. As the scouts are thinking about doing rifles at somepoint and thaught I'd be organised and find a form first.
