Exactly our meeting times! And exactly the same reason for starting at 7. Leaders would be hard pushed to get home from the city, get changed and get to the meeting much before then. Never had any complaints from parents but perhaps those that would object do not join because of it!

If parents moan about times, there's usually another group close by (unless rural) that they could go to.

We have 2 Packs. One runs 6-7.15pm and the other 6.45 - 8.

We sometime have parents shoose the earlier session as their child is normally in bed by 7.30pm.

Notice though that both Packs run for 1 1/4 hours. If it was me, I'd be reducing the time and be out of the hut by 8pm.

I never get how packs run for only 1h 15 as we sometime struggle to fit it in 1 1/2 hours.

Our Cubs meet 6.30pm-8.00pm, I can't see an extra 15mins making all that much difference

Same times here except I don't know of any leaving early. Scouts overlap Cubs in another venue.

We ran all three consecutively for a while but had to change as Beaver leaders couldn't get home from work in time. This set up didn't really give enough time for Cubs and Scouts.

Our 3 cub packs now all run at a similar time to this. I recall there was a lot of disquiet when this first happened due to late bedtimes, but it settled down in the end. I think families with younger children who had to come along for pick up purposes were the worst affected. Beavers also start later then they used to again because of leaders being able to get there. Perhaps we just have more leaders who work full time now. (a lot of expats have partners who follow them around the world and don't necessarily work outside the home)
However we have scouts on a school night and given that a lot of ours have to be up at 6 ish to get buses, we run our meeting to finish by 8.30 so everyone can be home by 9. The Friday troop run until 9pm.

    Beavers 6:00 to 7:15
    Cubs 6:00 to 7:30
    Scouts 7:30 to 9:15
Tuesdays we have to meet all on one night as we are in a church hall, don't have any problems with the times.
