I get more information from County direct, instead of district.

County have a e-mail based newsletter (www.wyscouts.org.uk to sign up).

Shame district dont have anything similar.

Our District (Hastings & Rye) has a monthly newletter called Tom Tom which is emailed or posted to everyone. It is also put on the District Website staright away. So we do quite well on that one.

Our district (Sittingbourne & Milton), I understand has an e-mail newsletter that goes out to everyone in the district that they have e-mail addresses for.

our group leader gives us our activity program weeks in advance, and we are always told well in advance of any changes

Thats the section or group, not the district, but that is quite interesting anyway

Central Yorkshire have an email list, but as far as I can tell never send anything out on it. North Leeds have a monthly newsletter, which is good, but the last two items I sent to be included never made it to the printed version.

Our district, very annoyingly sends out information only to Group Scout Leaders, which I suppose makes economical sense. However, our GSL is notoriously bad at hoarding things himself, to the point where we have missed several high profile events!

Ahhhhh! If only things were more simple!

by as many means as poss - email, website, post, meetings etc. - and the message still fails to reach everyone.

Our District's communication is awful, sometimes stuff gets sent to the GSL but then you don't get the info from the GSL until after the date. So I complained, now I get the odd email once in a blue moon.
