Talking Our Scout Group 99 Not Out!

At long last, after over a year's research, I have absolute proof that Scouting started in our village in June 1910! The Group wasn't officially registered until 1920 (thanks to the Great War) but I reckon that a letter from B-P to the Scoutmaster, congratulating him on the foundation of the Group in June 1910 and agreeing to come down to meet the new Scouts, is proof enough if it was needed!

Here we go for Centenary Celebrations then, next year. Get the champagne on ice!

What do you care what other people think! - Richard P. Feynman

A person needs only three tools in life: WD-40, duct tape and a hammer. If it doesn't move and it should, use the WD-40. If it moves and it shouldn't, use the duct tape. If either doesn't work, use the hammer.

Quite possibly - but, more important, I'd love to go back to the original necker (chocolate brown, I discover) rather than the ghastly lemon yellow we have now which looks grubby after two minutes by a wood fire and which is totally merciless in the presence of spilled red wine!

That's a lovely idea - new necker and badge then. All sorted. Invite us all to the party!
