Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

On behalf of all the Escouts Management - Richard, Jon and Daniel, the Escouts Team - Rich, Matt, Phil, Mike, Craig, Barry and myself, The Moderation, awards and systems teams we would like to wish you a very happy Christmas, and all the best for the new year.

Its been quite a year for :
    • We have seen another Ecamp
    • An increase in Hosting Bandwidth
    • Our 8th Birthday
    • We reported on the appointment of Bear Grylls as the 10th Chief Scout and Wayne Bulpitt as the 1st UK Chief Commissioner
    • Shortly after this exciting annoucement, Wayne agreed to do a Question and Answer session on Escouts. Wayne has been very diligent in answering questions and has used his blog on scouts.org.uk to advertise Escouts and the platform we provide for Scouters everywhere.
    • We had the first(to my knowledge) baby. Katy (Ashbourne_Akela) gave birth to her daughter Lorelai on 10/09/09 after 7 months of forum bets.
    • We suspended the hosting applications while we sought new team members to improve our services
    • In December, we launched our new integrated Hosting/Helpdesk solution and announced the addition of new team members.
    • We also announced that from January, The quantities in the Escouts: Hosting package will be doubled for the same fee you pay just now!
So whats next for ? Who knows! More users, a better service and new services are the goal.

I could never be more grateful for this Forum than on a Tuesday morning at around 9am!

I would like to thank Wayne for his incredible diligence in answering questions put to him. I have only asked one question, but it has been really refreshing to read his honest replies on so many current issues. For the first time in 5 years I feel that I really do have "a voice", and that my views will be heard by someone who can make a difference at a national level.

A very merry Christmas to Wayne, to all the dedicated team, to my fellow GSLs over on the social group and to all eScouters.

    Hi all

I would like to echo what Gavin's posted, and thank everyone who's helped with Escouts in whatever way, no matter how small. The collective community is what makes Escouts beneficial to Scouting.

By the way, we are open 24/7 as always over the festive period, though the support will depend on whos sober and when !!!

    Have a great one

Thank to everyone who helps to keep running.

A big thank you to all the team for making it all happen.

This site is a rare beast, a real on line community, or dare I say family. We have some great friends, interesting visitors, sensible debate, arguments and spats, a good laugh, a shoulder to cry on and an ear for a tricky problem.

I don't see that anywhere else.

Best of all its AD free.

    Merry Christmas.
