I would love to camp but would worry about cramping everyone else. Wouldn't be too bad if hubby was going too but he won't. I guess it depends on where and when.

Doug: Why not? Baenie will like it and whe will not be mobile yet! I went camping with my sone when he was 1 month old! Much more difficult the next year when he was mobile and if you blinked he'd push his rolling lion car two campsites away in whatever direction it was pointed!

She's sitting up already, apparently two months early, so it won't be long! She's great at 'comando' moves on her tummy so as soon as she realises how to lift up her bum she'll be crawling!

Personally I found coming from down South 2008 at Nottingham/Mansfield area was the best for me. I seem to remember looking at it the site was nearly enough in the middle of the UK from Richards part of the world and mine as we we the furtherest apart at the time. Are you looking at Friday PM - Monday AM again I think it was better for the extra day last year. And no I have passed the leaders mantle over to whoever, I thought Gavin had volunteered!!

Sometime after May - that way I'll have finished my university project and exams. Not bothered about where it is as hopefully I'll be getting a car in May.. however, if there's a lot of interest from people down south it wouldn't be fair to stick it too far up North - I'd say anywhere between Leicester and Leeds is reasonable.

If that's the case I could probably pick Trev up from East Midlands airport on the way..

Walesby would be a good site. They have both indoor and outdoor.

June would be the best month for me at the moment.

If you just pick a date and venue and if I am free I will be there and could give lifts if I pass close by any one one route.

if we just choose a county then find a suitable venue in or close by that county.

I like Daniel's idea of Walesby, i've driven up to there from Kent before...

Give me enough notice, i'll be trying to be there. June would probably be the best month for me.

It's just over 3 hours from here, not too bad a distance - apparently 10 minutes shorter than last year.

June would be better for me, but not the end of June.

Can we get thoughts on accomodation arrangements?

Tents, Scout Halls, Camp Indoor accomodation

Going on previous years, indoor accomodation is expensive, as we cant bring my cub pack, to fill it!

The problem with camping in 2006 was the cold, its not going to be cold in June, might get wet,

Scout halls dont tend to have bunk beds!

    Thoughts

Id say a mixture of tents and camp indoor accomodation so that those people who want to go in a tent can do, and those who would prefer a bunk can get one - also somewhere to store equipment and use when the its wet.
