Web site Policies: Registration Ts & Cs, Data Protection, Privacy, Copyright...

Hi Folks, I'm an adult volunteer webmaster, new to Scouting and looking for help to guide my local Group Leadership team with the development of their site's structure & content.

I'm aware of the SA brand standards (and I'm using the Escouts Joomla template) but is there a definitive list for legal requirements and/or any Scouting compliance policies that a Scout Group web site must contain? I'm thinking here of data protection and privacy (as Parents will register and log-in), copyright, caveats over content and author/Group/SA points of view.

Am I missing any important areas? Are there any 'boiler-plate' templates for policy statements that I can adapt?
TIA
Keith..

Thanks Max. A useful high-level checklist for my to do list (and I passed - phew!) However, I am looking beyond this for guidance and wording on specific policy statements, such as this excellent example: http://www.halsteadscouts.org.uk/joomla/index.php/privacy-policy-tacs

I hope you have prior written consent for that link:
4.1 We welcome inward links to the Ajax web site but not without our prior written consent. Why would you want to discourage people from linking to your site? Bizarre.

Thanks for the links and as useful as examples are, I'm trying to establish whether there is a common source - or set of templates - that I can access as the basis for our Scout Group's requirements.

So, are there reusable templates somewhere or is the situation that each Group is on its own to identify its own compliance situation, policy needs and therefore forms of words?
