CRB / OH Forms & Parents Rota

Is this right?
In order to be able to run our Beaver Colony I have a parents rota - and up until now parents have done a CRB when they join it. Most parents help out once a term.
I suppose the second half of my question is - for my parents rota will they have to do all the new forms and pay Capitation - as if they do I have a suspicion I will lose most and therefore be unable to run the Colony.
    Any help/guidance would be appreciated.
Sounds like incorrect local interpretation by your District Appointments Secretary to me. I have 10 parents who have completed OH forms since October, on the National Membership System, and we haven't paid memberships fees/capitation for any of them, and are not expected to.

POR could be clearer on this.

Members and Associate members are all expected to pay membership fees, but no where in POR or on the OH form can I see what status an OH is granted in the association (if any).

Without further clarification I would say that as the OH form does not mention Member or Associate member status then there would be no fee payable.

As I understand it, the OH is just so that the SA has a record of who is helping out and so they can tie the CRB details with names and addresses etc. There is no need or requirement for them to pay capitation.
We have a family camp coming up and there is no way I would want to pay capitation on the 40+ parents whose OHs we've just put through!

AIUI, it's to ensure compliance with the ISA stuff when that comes in.

I think its more about ensuring that all those who would be caught up by it fall under the transitional arrangements by the fact we already have them on file, and therefore won't need to go through the ISA process until 5 years after their latest CRB!

Shouldn't this be in the Related discussions - UK Chief Commissioner forum?

People that fill in OH forms are not members or associate members and there fore do not need to go on the census and membership fees don't have to be paid for them.

I would only ask new parents to complete OH forms and get any other parents to do them of and when their CRBs need renewing (after 5 years currently)

I think that when the comunications come out next week we may well find that for the vast majority of parents CRB forms will become a thing of the past, the OH form has been designed in such a way so as to provide the information required to replace the CRB form in a lot of cases.

As Peter has said this can't be done overnight the whole process would go into melt down if every person who was currently CRB's completed new forms and OH forms. Depending on next weeks announcements we will change as current CRB's come up for renewal. Parents of new young people joining will now get OH & CRB forms to complete.

Are you saying that you'll OH and CRB the parents of all those joining the Group? Seems way over the top.

Any individual, as I read current info, should only be CRB-ed and OH-ed if they're involved

How can you tell who and when parent are going to be involved in any one of those things, if you hold family camps then they all need to be done and given the length of time it can take you may as well do it when they start
