    Halloween Recruitment Idea

Why not print some flyers off for your scout group and hand them out with sweets tonight!

(This idea was tweeted to me on twitter - not sure if the leader is on Escouts or not!)

Good idea, but I have had no-one arrive at my door thankfully apart from the poppy lady - its what comes of living in an area with no kids (apart from the 3 yo next door and he is too little for trick or treating just yet!)

Around here to seems to work quite well that unless you have something "halloween" in your window / garden (we usually have a lit pumpkin) then they don't call, which means it's these families who are happy to take part that get the callers.

The idea of flyers is a good one except too late for me to use this time round!

I've not had anyone either... although I did hire my GSL to stand at the bottom of the drive and scare them off...

I didn't have anyone knocking either. It's the first time in year's I've not had any trick or treaters.

Oh well, I guess I'll have to eat all these sweets myself!!

Great idea, too bad I'm reading it the morning after! Oh well, can try it out next year. The immediate area around my house has a lot of older families so I only end up with maybe 50 kids coming to the door but I'm sure som eof my leaders would have substantially more!
