Howdy - assuming you are SA and in the UK, then what needs to be done is pretty structured. Do you have a local training manager in your district? do you have a training advisor? Have you been given an "adult pesonal file" (can be downloaded as a pdf if required) as this will tell you what needs to be done.
Essentially, training is modular and there are 19 modules that need to be "validated" in order to complete your WB (validated means you understand th content and know how to put into practice etc - this does not mean you have to go on a course)
    Hope this helps

keep all your paper work etc as evidence as what you are currently doing, this will help with validating modules.

Debbie is from New South Wales so guess they might do Wood badge different there.

As Chris has said, here in the UK it is very structured with a set of modular training each of which has its own validation. You need to validate all the modules applicable to your role but only need to do the actual training if you need it. LOVE Learning Optional Validation Essential
