    Media Coverage

I am lead to believe that we should be expecting extensive media coverage tomorrow (Friday) re: census results. In particular there will be a piece on BBC breakfast news. I also have two of my scouts going on local radio.

    Stay tuned folks!

    Media Coverage

Had a message this morning that the Greater London North contingent are going to Gilwell tonight and/or early tomorow morning at the request of the BBC.

As you say - watch this space!

Cheer up Ewan! While it is fairly predictable how various papers will react it is still nice to get publicity.

The coverage will look something like

BBC – quite straight down the line
    Times – pretty positive
Telegraph – positive but with a suggestion that things ‘aint what they used to be.
    Independent – nothing
Guardian – surprise at number of girls/working class/black kids, slight hint of disapproval about the whole thing.
    Scotsman – pretty positive
    Sun – monosyllabic woggle gags
Star – more monosyllabic woggle gags
Mirror – monosyllabic but quite positive
Mail – political correctness gone mad
Express – as for the Mail but not as well written

    Did I miss anyone?

That is spot on, but I think that Mail will include a subtle undertone of "things 'aint what they used to be" as well.
