    We're back!

    RESOLVED

Following a server move (and subsequent issues with MySQL versions), Escouts is back.

Please note we had to restore from backup so some posts may have been lost.

That would be down to that sites' owner. I'm going to reply to your email shortly.... more moves to come!

Speaking of access stats would it be an idea to publish Escouts stats say, every month. Then we can monitor how we're progressing and if we're growing from strength to strength

Sad thing is I think I've been in that building !
Scarey stuff - 3 types of id to get into reception
    Fingerprint, keycard and pin security
    All on the second floor
You get weighed as you go in and out
They got annoyed when I ran my hand over the top of one of the racks (Looking for dust)
2 big rooms of UPS stuff and more racked servers than I've ever seen before

Lol at least we know our servers are secure then!

    Taken from the site:
    Security

Security is a top priority across all our facilities.
But we also recognise that security requirements must be balanced against your need for quick, easy access to your IT equipment. Our security strategy maximises security, without compromising convenience.
Key features of our multi-level security infrastructure include:
    • door access controls at main site and building entrances
    • proximity activation cards to authorise access levels
    • movement logs on all proximity card usage
    • internal and external CCTV cameras and digital image archiving
    • internal and external intruder detection devices
    • vehicle entrance barriers and secure loading bays
    • strict policies on handling customers’ postal packages
    • security systems linked to central BMS
    • 24x7 monitoring by dedicated security teams
Security extends beyond our site to include wider security authorities such as the local police and estate security. We exchange information and work together to counter potential threats.

It's the Coreix Data Centre in Stratford (where much of the Olympics facilities will be built).

    Redbus Interhouses 1, 2 & 3 are here .

Interxion (where I've had a server in the past) is here

Poundhost (where the hosting server is) - Can't remember where their real address is and I don't think they'd appreciate it...

    Global Switch 1 here

Ah so they're all pretty close to each other then.
Guess most of the security is similar anyway, and I need to learn london!

Well done with the server transfer anyway
