    Social Networking Guidance

    Wayne

In light of the current threads on eScouts and many "offline" debates raging in groups/districts around the UK I wondered if the association was reviewing (or had plans to review) current guidance on social networking?

I appreciate that the existing factsheet covers much which is commonsense but after reading the following links I feel that the association could provide something which is more comprehensive - though not prescriptive.

    http://www.nasuwt.org.uk/Information.../NASUWT_007513
    http://www.acas.org.uk/index.aspx?articleid=3375

In addition I would welcome some greater resources regarding websites and social networking presence guidance for the members of the movement - this area is evolving very quickly and some individuals (especially those who do not embrace IT) possibly look to the SA for support.

    Regards and thanks

    Hi Mark,
Certainly an area we are looking at (in both respects) but as the related thread suggests, not straight forward!

I appreciate your reply and, as mentioned in the thread, feel there is a difference between setting down rules for usage and encouraging best practice for the movement to benefit from support.
