    Telling a Cub not to use a 12" stick as a sword, or as a rule doesn't have the right impact anymore.

    I found that if you hit them repeatedly with a ballpein hammer, 9 times out of 10 they'd keep going, except for the 10th time when they tended to shatter and leave a mess all over the place.
    Tying them up with strong cord and pieces of wood sometimes works but if they shake too much it all comes loose and they go all over the place!

    finally, twenty years after buying the brochure, we managed a weekend in a Landmark Trust property. The Old Hall in Croscombe, it was amazing thanks.
