Nevertheless it was quite spectacular and a boost to national pride. Gave me a great idea to save our armed forces expenditure: forget all those medals and just issue all personnel with a 'fights away' staged activity badge!

Was that a typo or are you expecting it to kick off?

Well they are armed forces after all, so I suspect that was an intended "fights away"

I don't want to make an effort to see the footy tonight, I might jinx it.

Saw Mamma Mia 2 today. Unbelievably cheesy but at the same time brought a tear to my eye a few times as it reminded me of incidents in my life.

Disadvantage of having a free dress code... New girl started last night, without being crude, she was more developed than any of the other girls, and wearing a white top... to a water fight...

We had to find her something to cover her embarrassment. She won't come wearing white again...

Just got some great discounts for our group - indoor climbing centre 8 per head instead of 17, and 90 minute kayaking 5 instead of 15. If you don't ask you don't get.

I got a discount in Blacks the other day. But I did have to listen to a 15 minute story about how what wonderful scout the assistant was and how he got kicked out for smoking at a District camp. So 10% of 4 may not have been that valuable.

i used my scout discount in GO...

    RRP 299
    GO Price 199
They price matched to 183.99 minus 10% (for the price match) meaning I would pay 165.59

but then they accepted the 15% scout discount (that i was applying for a bottle of water to save 15p) and it took off the 165.59 so the item ended up costing 140.75

Once again performed the minor miracle of packing all our camping kit for our Summer Camp into our small kit trailer (its small 4 wheeler so can carry a fair amount of weight but capacity is an issue)

3 patrol tents, a small marquee, a small mess tent, a large spare tent, 8 benches, 8 tables, a gas fridge, 8 smaller tents, two chemical toilets and 2 large toilet tents, 4 sets of pots and pans, axes, saws, kettles, 4 spades, 2 small metal barrels (to use as camp overs), 4 gas lamps, 4 tilleys, 2 fokker 2 butner gas stoves, 7 small gas bottles, assorted utensiles, plastic and metal buckets, metal bins, 12 fire grids, games stuff etc etc

As always I am sure there will be something we have forgotten.
