What is your cubs favourite camp food cooked without an oven?
    My cubs love Chicken Curry.

Ages ago I demonstrated alternative hike food (nicer and cheaper than dehydrated/Wayfarer meals) made using a packet of flavoured Uncle Bens rice plus chopped up hot dogs, and a bit of water to bring a sauce out of the flavoured rice. Very quick on a Trangia - and had Scouts requesting it several camps on from when we last did it!

Minestrone soup is a good one. You can add extra pasta to fill them up and make it as thick or thin as you like, all in one pan.

Either Chilli or Curry with rice, easy and quick to cook and tastes great.
