Scouting Magazine - the end of an national magazine

With no great announcement and as far as I'm aware no consultation, Scouting Magazine is no longer a national publication for all adult members in the country!

Adult members in Scotland no longer receive Scouting Magazine; instead they receive "Scouting Scotland".

Is this part of a regionalisation of publications?
Will I receive "Scouting England" in December?
Is this the first phase of Scotland breaking away from The Scout Association?
Why has the association decided to stop producing a national magazine for adults?
Was there any consultation about this change?

    Anyone know the answers?

The question is is it any different or is it the same magazine with a Scottish brand or maybe just a few Scottish focused articles in it as well/instead

Perhaps a more appropriate headline Paul would have been "wow, it's great that the content of Scouting Magazine can now be tailored to a local audience"

It's a pilot (I think a great one I hope works) which will be extended if successful to cover other countries and regions and ultimately even more locally. The content is the same for all, with the added value of local content which replaces in this case the separate Scottish HQ magazine. More interesting for members hopefully, increasing awareness/readership of both, and reducing costs.

Most people will be aware that the cost of such publications and their distribution is almost prohibitive. The team are working on better digital options also, more of which shortly.

Hope this helps to make the glass half full again, rather than half empty Paul?
    Thanks for the invite Neil,
