    Here's ours:

Large camping field with campfire circle to the right that's not in the picture. You can just see the back building to the right (which is falling down).

You HQ looks amazing - we're looking to replace ours and yours looks like it would fit right in.

This was our hut taken in June 2012 when we had a moat. The 'moat' wasn't a useful nor required feature. It did keep people out of the hut for a while and kept us busy as we repaired the floors and walls.

We made little video of the flood for anyone interested in seeing more of our HQ http://www.8thtynemouth.org.uk/features/storm-wars/

Ours was burnt down by am arson attack, and took five years to rebuild, but hats off to you for dealing with all that water.

That would be much worse than a flood. I've seen a few huts devastated by fire. Must be such a setback for any group.

You seem to have a nice building now though, the hard work has clearly paid off. Was that all through fundraising?

We got grants, from local council, county council, group fundraising, various charitable foundations, our GSL wrote to over 500 organisations, and raised the profile of our group within the community, the county also had a small piece of a land from a defunct group, that was technically where our group came from 20 years ago, and that raised 50,000 which was a big help, in total the build was 120,000, but was worth it, we decamped to a local community centre for the interim.

Best view I can manage of ours is this - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.40.../data=!3m1!1e3

This might also work - http://binged.it/1tPIBaO

On the second one the area with the caravans is at a lower level and is now being built on with new houses. The field top left is not ours - its mainly trees but with a clear grass area where the flag pole is.

This should be a view of our hut - Google street view seems to be a bit pants at the moment.

We took were the victim of an Arson attack some years ago, fortunately a neighbour spotted it and we saved most of the building. Needed half the roof and all the electrics replaced.

It deeply upset us at the time, but we received a generous offer of accommodation down the road at the Buzzards in Leighton Buzzard.

    What Scouting is about!

    Here's ours...

    Outside:

    and inside:
    DSC_2502-sm.jpg

It's a fantastic site (with a chip shop next door for the kids, and a pub next to that for the leaders ). We've recently managed to buy the yard next door as well so are looking to expand and build a new boating centre (just need to find a big pot of cash to make it happen). All we're missing is a bit of outdoor space for fires or pitching tents etc.
