Looks like TSA have let the certificate expire for Scouts.org.uk

    Subject: *.scouts.org.uk

    Issuer: Thawte RSA CA 2018

    Expires on: Aug 25, 2019

    Current date: Aug 26, 2019

Any website with a registration or login functionality, a contact form or anything where people are asked to enter any information should have a valid SSL certificate.

Unfortunately it appears that someone at TSA has inadvertently let it expire which should not have happened.

SSL certificates and https are now seen as the basic standard for all websites and some browsers like Google Chrome now mark those without as insecure.

You should look at this for your group website John - Cloudflare and Let's Encrypt provide these for free.

Whilst LetsEncrypt does provide SSL for free, you still need a host that supports it. Unbelievably, there are still hosts out there that don't.

I am appalled that the Scouts let the certificate expire. We are told doing IT better is part if the solution but a basic kike this cannot be sorted?
