    Hi Wayne,

I'd like to wish you all the best in your "retirement" and thanks for everything you have done. You have been like a breath of fresh air.

One point at every District County meeting that I have attended safety has always been on the agenda as a compulsory item. With the high waiting lists maybe recruitment of Leaders should be on as well. Growth in Leaders must go hand in hand with growth in young people.

    Many thanks Roger, much appreciated.
I'd be surprised if recruitment/retention of adults and the quality of programmes (the two drivers to recruiting young people) wasn't on the agenda of Exec meetings, especially Districts. It's certainly at the top of the agenda for meetings of line managers.
We gave specific guidance on including 'safety' as we were conscious that few execs at the time were aware of their responsibilities or considered the issues.
