    Election fall out

Given the effect of the youth vote on last nights election Stand by for more half baked youth projects designed to court young people.

Very concerned this morning. It is clear the country does not like how hard May is going on austerity.

nah! not going to happen. two reasons: 1. no one's interested; 2. u18s don't vote.

the youth vote you're talking about is young adults, 18-30.

a ~11bn ukp promise to abolish tuition fees, rising to a potential 30bn ukp promise to wipe out all tuition dept is something that no sensible student can ignore, even if you were the son/daughter of the duke of Westminster!

are you suggesting this promise was half-baked?

I think its her version of Brexit that isn't liked as well as her general 'I know better than you rabble' attitude.

Not forgetting she doesn't turn up to events others feel are important and then her reputation for changing her mind every other day??

He who receives a good turn should never forget it; he who does one should never remember it.

It's hard to project yourself as strong, if you can't be bothered to defend your ideas in public.

I know that the media talk about 'shy Tories', but they're not supposed to be in the Cabinet.
The long march through the institutions is nearly complete.

Just getting to the point where I'm no longer considered a "yoof" voter. Younger people are seeing the effects of cuts on schools and universities, probably had a reduced youth service in their community and don't especially like that tuition fees are 9k and rising (funnily enough!) Not very surprising they're not so up for more of the same tbh.

Never mind. Cameron promised lots of higher apprenticeships. I'm sure they'll be along soon
