Record time (positive!) for a DBS clearance?

Previous record: New Leader, completed her application on Atlantic at 8.30 am, cleared by 5.00 pm. Quite extraordinary, given that she had no prior DBS clearances, although she was born and bred locally, so only one Police force.

This week: New Exec member, emailed me on Friday lunchtime with a query about Atlantic, and then completed his application at 12.50 pm. Cleared by 5.00 pm. Elderly, and with previous DBS clearances and other positive markers, but it is just the sheer speed of processing that has left me gaping at the screen.

Last year I had a disclosure that was in the system for something like 131 days for absolutely no good reason. Only one Police force as well.

It's the DBS lottery :-) we had one take almost 10 months for no apparent reason as had lived at the address since birth. We had another that had moved several times in the last 5 years come back in 4 days
