    Jute string/sisal

What diameter jute string/sisal should I buy for simple lashings i.e lashing several broom handles together to make a long reaching pole?
Would I get away with 3mm?

This is the one I bought for our camp last month: https://www.ropesdirect.co.uk/3/150-...-5kg-ball.html

We used the lot. It's good stuff.

The above two posts links to the same type of sisal string we use for small scale (e.g scout staves or broom handles) pioneering lashings

Varous online retailers offer this, such as http://shop.sigmaci.com/StoreFront/T...0#.Wd9wI2eWyUk at 12.82

If you have a traditional old-school hardware store near you try going in and asking how much to order a ball.
