I get more answers by email for events I have organised that way, then by Myscout but then I have to sort them, make up a spreadsheet and work out who they are when they fail to give pertinent details. Myscout does that for me- I can spend my time on actual scouting if people learn to click a button instead of reply.
A real irritation is parents who, rather than clicking the link and clicking yes, simply reply to the myscout email. Clearly they think my time is less important than theirs, and that I am goig to sit there and do their admin.

The first time they do it, they get a reply asking them to please click the link and that unless they click the link and do it themselves, their child wont be recorded as attending and wont get a space. If they continue to do it then those emails just get deleted.

Indeed-really annoying, unless they have a genuine question, or the page has a problem (apparently columns don't show up if you use a smartphone or ipad, but that is changing). I might consider using this approach.
