yes but not since 1994, really nice location and plenty of space and easy access (particularly with a minibus to plenty of activities).

Camped there as a young leader but haven't been back since. From what i remember it was a nice site, lots of stuff to do locally. Canoeing just down the road at Rudyard Lake, and plenty of good walks locally.

We had an astronomy camp there probably 10 years ago, mainly because of dark skies and it's close to Jodrell Bank. We stayed in the lodge, nice site.

This isn't going to be much help, but I did quite a bit of my Scout camping there 45 years ago, as a member of Cheadle Hulme District. I remember it as a good, wooded site, for back-to-basics camping (but not so basic that it wouldn't have facilities). It may have changed, but it was good to see it mentioned.

Hi, I use all the local sites. Barnswood is good. Decent size. To be honest though, I prefer Tatton for activities. Tatton has it's own B1 lake, boats, kayaks and launch point on the campsite (beautiful location in the middle of a country park, Knutsford is great, train into Manchester) and I prefer Gradbach for walking (Ludds Church, Roaches)
