    Explorer Summer camp in Iceland

Anyone taken their Explorers to Iceland recently.
What activities did you do and how much did you charge fro the trip.
Looking at camping at ┌lfljˇtsvatn self catering, but it is miles from a town.

    thanks

I don't have much practical advice, but I was at the Moot in Iceland last summer, half of which was at ┌lfljˇtsvatn - it was a really nice campsite, with lots of stuff to do. If you get in contact with them I'm sure they'd be able to help with any practical questions like food etc.

I'm sure you're aware already but Iceland is a very expensive place, so do bear that in mind!

We went to Iceland about 3 years ago with about 50 Explorers, stayed at the same place in the dorms but did half board.
If you send me a private message with your email address, I can provide you details of what we did etc
We did a lot of the touristy things; whale watching, visit to the capital, spend a day doing the classic bus tour to all the site, hike. Can’t remember the rest.
The staff at the centre were fantastic and helped arrange a lot the transport etc
