In a spirit of Scouting unity, all UK Scouting organisations are going to be merged.

This will result in the formation of the British Baden-Powell Boy and Girl Scouts Scouting Association (BBPBGSSA), to be managed by the Federation Of Overpaid Leader Scouts. For simplicity the organisation will be known by the acronym of the management organisation.

At least they'll have Mr T's pity.

I would pay money to watch that.

Maybe they could have a rotating presidency; one month Katie Hopkins, next month Owen Jones, or maybe Eddie Izzard. He'd look nice in one of those 'longer length' uniform shirts, with a few twinkly badges on.

A performance related bonus for Scouters based on the number of badges passed by the YP.

“The Baden-Powell Scouts Association has decided to rename as the Baby, Pre-teen Sitting Arrangement. It should save money on the headed notepaper, as well as reflecting the current role of the Association”.

No, I’m not bitter, what makes you ask?

"HQ is excited to announce a new partnership arrangement that will increase adult and youth membership and allow HQ to better understand the needs of all stakeholders. We look forward to working closely with Cambridge Analytics... (And finally finding out exactly why, no one in Hollywood will employ Brendan Fraser any more.)"

Maybe the census figures aren't great and they can't find a way to spin it if numbers have actually fallen.

Our DESC informed us the other day that for the first time we have had a fall in Explorer numbers in the District (mainly due to changes in Leadership at one of the Units leading to some choosing to leave)

    Curious indeed!

Could just be timing of course. Lots of stories around that could easily drown it out. Royal baby, royal wedding (both in the same genre of feel good establishment stories) plus Brexit, Windrush etc. Best time for these things is an anticipated slow news day. Not had one for a while!
