Really glad to see the new theme. Well done Chris. I have uploaded and activated successfully using the basic green background. I tried to upload with backgrounds 2 and 4 but both failed with the following error message "The uploaded file exceeds the upload_max_filesize directive in php.ini." I am using version 12.0.1 Safari on an iMac. Can anyone help? If this is a general problem it's a terrible limitation
You need to increase the file upload size for wordpress media - a quick google will give you some handy instructions of how to do this.

Hey,

I'm in the process of updating my district's website using the "New Brand 4 Districts" theme. I have followed the instructions in the manual and the set up has worked fine. When I went to launch the site I noticed that the line for footer and the social media links are appearing halfway through the page and not at the bottom of the page. When I log in as admin the footer works fine and the site works as expected. The issue only occurs when nobody is logged in i.e. public view and I don't know what is causing this issue. Until it has beem resolved, I am unable to launch the site.

Has anyone else encountered this problem with the new theme?

You can't have news on what is the home page of the theme. Create a page called "News" and in the "Customize" bit select that page as the one for the latest posts to display on.

Hi Keith
Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately I was unable to find anything by Googling and had to get a friend to increase file upload size. It was beyond my technical ability.
Having got the background uploaded, I need to edit the homepage and cannot see how to do this. Editing the other pages seems straight forward.
Can you please give me a clue

Go to /wp-admin/theme-editor.php and then find the index.php file in the list of Theme Files - you'll then be able to edit it.

Thanks, Keith, but, oh dear, this rather mitigates against people without coding skills. I will accomplish probably with help from more technical friends.

Regarding the increasing the file size limit, this is not a WordPress thing but a setting on your hosting server. You'd be best contacting whoever provides your hosting who'll be able to advise you further as every set up/company is slightly different.

Hi there
Is the new theme supposed to be responsive? I’ve upgraded to sites now and both are very cramped when viewed on an iPhone.

Hi Thomas,
I had the same issue and some where found an answer to it. However I cannot seem to find the answer any more as I have just added a new page and got the same issue again!
I will keep on digging for an answer.
I did think I had to add an extra line of code somewhere in the page, so will double check this.

Hi Thomas,
Found the answer!
You will need to add the following code at the end of the page:

<div style="clear: both;">&nbsp;</div>

If you are using KC editor then I guess your content is in a text box. Switch to Classic View/Edit to add the above code below the following line:

[/kc_column_text][/kc_column][/kc_row]

Hope this helps!

Is there any reason why when using the either of the new themes it is not formatting properly. This is using the theme straight "out of the box"

I am setting up the new theme before rolling it out to live. The width of the page doesnt seem to stop at a fixed size and just extends off of my screen, even when moving widgets to the left hand side of the sections.

The sections are also not auto-expanding to fit the content! Is this normal is has something gone awry? See attached image for my issues

I am having this same problem. Have had it set up for a while now and whilst updating it last week noticed its not framing properly in the screen.

If anyone finds a solution would be grateful of advice!
