    Facebook Page

I'm looking to set up a FB page for a group, but there is already one that has been created by someone else that is unknown and doesn't reply to messages to the page.
How do I get this old page removed so I can create a new one?

Firstly I donít think you can have a page taken down just because it has a certain name that could be confusing. Only if there is something illegal on there.

Second, surely if you look at who the page admins are, you should at least know a name or two and then contact them directly if you can rather than through the page.

Try looking at this https://www.facebook.com/business/he...06353799553748 it may help. It is possible to get it taken down under certain circumstances but not easy

Unless there is another 3rd Orpington out there then it looks to me like the page is being actively used by someone in your Scout Group, probably someone involved in the Troop given the photos posted. I suggest you ask around who is running the page and ask to be added as an admin.

Unless you mean a Group other than your own in which case just ignore me lol

Someone in the group has clearly set the page up, looks like an adult in the Scout section - so it is worth asking around to find out who. Once you know who it is and have discussed it with them you should get yourself, and others within the group added so that it can be adopted as an official group page.

Facebook creates pages that are being searched for but don't exist. If you setup a genuine page you might be able to claim the old one but it won't be easy.

It looks to me like someone must be authorising posts.

Try adding a post to the group that asks who is authorising it.

Or keep posting pictures of cats until someone complains to you
