    Wide Game help

Does anyone have, or know where to find, a wide game based on King Arthur and the quest for the holy grail?

    Hmmm...

    Four teams.

    Two defend and two search.

Two bases for 'searching' team members to start from or return to if the get tagged by defenders.

One safe area in the middle of the field or semi-hidden in which there are four water bottles, three filled with water, one with, Irn Bru or diluting juice (the holy grail). If a searcher gets in to the safe zone they cannot be tagged - they can pick a bottle to drink from. If it's water, they go back to their base and start again, if it's juice, they're safe and sit out.

When all of a team's members are out they swap places with a defending team of their choice.

A leader can mix the bottles up after each attempt.

Is a first crack at an idea. The defenders could be called the Killer bunnies...

Possibly too advanced for the cubs but we ran a series of bases where they were given partial words & letters as prizes for completing tasks correctly. Put together correctly they read Matthew Chapter 26, Verse 27. We had an old style family bible with metal locks and impressive bindings which added to the setting although obviously it helped if someone knew what the Holy Grail actually was.
The Roman Empire did not become great by holding meetings. It did so by killing everyone that opposed their point of view.
