    Finishing my Gold Award

I literally have two things left to get my gold award and one of them is make contact with a scout from a different country. I'm English, so anyone from anywhere else is fine. I'm pretty sure we just have to say hi, so hi, I'm Jake, I'm 14 1/4 and I like reading and football.

    Thanks for helping out :)

I think you might get a better response on somewhere like 1st Facebook Scout Group on Facebook.

    Hi Chris,

Firstly, I would agree that the 1st Facebook Group would probably be a better place to find a Scout or Explorer from another country for you to contact (I think this forum is mostly adult volunteers if I'm not mistaken?)

Secondly, I wish you all the best of luck in completing your Chief Scout's Gold Award soon! (By the by, you said there's two things you still need to do - what's the other one?)

    Ahhh yes the Expedition, figures.

I'm trying to get my eldest 3 Scouts through their Gold Award as well; they're all 13 and they have 5 Challenge badges still to go (including the Expedition). xD

Always good to see youth members posting on here.
I've just got back form taking 15 Scouts to the Haarlem jamborrette in Holland, you couold try their facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/HaarlemJamborette/

As for the expedition challenge, if you can find a campsite within 15 miles/25km wallking distance ( or longer if you want) then all is neeeded to do is to plan a walk to the campsite camp over onenight and walk back again.

That's true, but we are still scouts! There are a few US and Canadian leaders on here who could no doubt point the OP at some of their young people.....
