POR Sub Group Chair - Role Available

So the latest Scouts Update email informs me that they are recruiting a Chair for a new POR Sub Group. Closing date is this coming Monday

I must admit if I wasn't already in danger of meeting myself coming backwards then I would be tempted to apply. At least then there might be some chance of POR updates making sense in English and not having stupid wording with unintended consquences because whoever drafted it appears to either not understand English, Scouting or both.

I dare say it would depend on the remit - the real world remit - of the role. I think though, it would be an impossible job. I wonder what the background of the people on it has been in the past?

I'd be up for that if I wasn't so short of time. And would no doubt get frustrated!

Its a new role as is the POR Sub Group. Apparently the remit of the POR Sub Group is basically checking the wording of POR updates not to actually be in charge of proposing any such changes.

So we need a new committee to read what another committee has written and report back on how much is gibberish, before being ignored? And we wonder why things get bureaucratic?
