Strange and don't know if locale has anything to do with it but we must have seen several dozen. Bag packing produced about 12 and most of our Scouts have their own personal coin now.

We bag packed yesterday and out of 200 - 50p's we managed to find 7 scout ones. Got to find a few more so those that packed can have 1 each.

We managed to get a couple from back packing as well. I wanted to do the same thing and give each of the YPs one but we have nowhere near enough.
To get more kids we need more adults - are we getting the message yet?

My dad found one for me yesterday in his change. I thought that was kinda cool - last day of the centenary and all...
It's all shiny. And I was grinning for the next few hours....

I wonder if the Royal Mint (www.royalmint.com) or a bank branch would swap a standard 50p for a Scout 50p - even though they were circulated during 2007, they're probably still going around. It's not as if they can keep track where every Scout 50p in the UK is, is it?

Someone should try it: me personally, I have three. But I've given one away as a Christmas present
