hmmm, trust the Daily Mail! I bet they wet their pants when they sniffed that story out. The only thing that surprises me is they didn't manage to fit a paedophile slant into it.

its not just the mail...bbc news (local possibly) had the story.

nothing Illegal has happened yet..they all have VISAs so are in the country legally..and not all 13 disappeared before the jamboree...some after!

If we only managed to lose 13 out of 40,000 then I think that is amazing. You have to remember that when the Commonwealth Games were held here they lost around 20 competitors! And you can bet your bottom dollar that in 2012 they will lose competitors as well. Whenever a large event is held there will be people who want to stay and who claim asylum. I can remember whenever the Russian Ballet went anywhere they use to lose the odd one or two especially here and America!

The John Lewis internal magazine-The Gazette-Ran a big piece including a shot of the pre 8 o'clock flag procession on the cover.

A condensed version is viewable on the corporate site http://www.johnlewispartnership.co.u...igationId=1119

Yours truly is in the piece...Not sure I said one of the lines quoted but what the hey!
The Outdoor Traditionalist (a largely bushcraft blog). Have a look at this how to page for things to try.
