Live 07 - The Festival of Scouting

    'Live 07 - The Festival of Scouting' 24th November 2007 O2 Arena

We have been Challenged to Recruit 150 Networkers for this event so need your help!!!

This July sees the relaunching of the Millennium Dome as the O2 Arena with Justin Timberlake followed by the Scissor Sisters. But the Scouting Association has one up on them – we were the first to book it! Thousands upon thousands try to live the dream of appearing at venues like this when they queue for hours for TV shows like the X Factor but there is another way.

Saturday 24th November 2007 is a date that will long remain in the memory of the cast of the Festival of Scouting – the day that they appeared at one of Europe’s top music venues to an audience of 15,000 people – twice!

Do we want to persuade you to come and see the show? No, this is a chance for you to join the cast in the Network item. We are planning a Mini Adventure and we need you to help us (or come and see it!)

We have been looking at ways to create an unforgettable 5 minute section of what will be a memorable night. We have the bones of an item but are looking to you to flesh it out! The item will be in various sections which will give Networks and Networkers an opportunity to showcase their many and varied talents (remembering it’s a family show!)

The first Section - Carnival Style Street Festival, we need your unique talents such as:
skateboarding, powerisers, fire breathing, martial arts, stage fighting, poi, mountain biking, bubble blowing, stunt biking, roller skating, free running, quad biking, dancing, motorcycling, unicycling, climbing, abseiling, bungee jumping, acrobatics, trampolining, circus skills or anything else that you think might be dramatic enough to be included then please get in touch!

Second section - Ballroom style dancing, get out those dancing shoes and show us your talent

There may be oppurtunity to drive a brand new mini! Ohhh

We are looking for both fully committed individuals and groups to display their talents in an item of ‘high speed thrills and spills making full use of space and resources’.

Interested? We hope you are. If you have something that you would like to put forward for this once in a life time opportunity then please send details to [email protected] as soon as possible so we can get this Mini Adventure on the road!

We need names by 30th April

Thanks, Look forward to hearing from you!!!!!!

I'm sure that bungee jumping even as a NEtwork member is banned by POR!

We are planning to take our Jamboree Unit as a reunion, anyone else going?

Its to show the range of skills and the wacky ideas that we are after! Dont think there is anywhere in the Dome to bungy jump anyway.

Anyone with any skills is welcome, as are those who are happy to learn one!! Anyone who want to be in the Network cast drop Tim an email [email protected]

Deadline has been extended to the 20th May, so come on Networkers - who wants to be part of this?
