Your in Wolves Sub Camp? If so I think you park at the roman lakes and walk in. Possibly a minibus service as peak times of morning and night!

Your GSL should know more, if not contact your subcamp leader.

PS The Roman Lakes car park is not yet guaranteed for Wolves, its just a best guess!

Having spoken to my camp leader, its down to individual groups to decide how to get to site. Even those on day visits. I think you need a pass to get into the car park there though. Officially it is a drop off point!

Our group are walking up the bridleway from the Roman Lakes and I believe
1st Marple are doing as well. Gibb Lane is gonna be chaos isn't it.

If you've got a 4x4 you can drive up that bridleway (slowly - our SL bent a wheel on his Landy trying to rally drive last year) - tho' I guess you might run a few Cubs over if you try it next weekend!!

I'm really hoping for a parking space on the Roman Lakes so I can sneak home for a bath over the weekend - although if not I might phone me mum and get her to pick me up - she used to be an ASL - she understands these things!!!

I believe the standard e-scouts advice on these matters is 'Don't forget your sleeping bag'.......................

Not used to packing all my belongings into a little bag, normally I have my house on wheels hitched to the back of the car.

Is it still acceptable to have a Rucksack that you can fit 3 cubs and a beaver inside? In fact somewhere I have got one that was designed to be used as a Bivi bag too!

Updated regs state that not only 3 cubs, one Beaver, but also a spare Scout and Leader also needed in kit bag. Bivi bags don't count, must be a large suitcase complete with wheels!

Think Simont has answered this, but which Group are you from? Is the 2HG a give away?

you deffo need this bag! you can't leave your teddy behind afterall!

if i read this right then if you are setting up on the day before then you could probably just set up your tent and maybe leave some more stuff! (that way MORE room for the suggested spare leader
