    Sunrise in Paris.......

Having booked a holiday just outside Paris during the Sunrise Celebrations I am trying to find out if there are any groups around Paris that myself and my Beaver son could join in. I have had a quick look on the scouting site for groups in France but cannot seem to find any listings / locations of groups.

Can anyone point me in the right direction - contacts in scouting here or in France, url's, groups that are visiting???

    Any info would be appreciated.

    Thanks in anticipation.....

    hi Inskippy! Welcome to

    http://www.scoutsetguides.fr/spip.php?rubrique5

that is the national french scout website...not alot of use...no english conversion!

    another option is http://www.scout.org/en/around_the_w...ion/contact_us

that is the WOSM site's European office...maybe one of those people will know more about it!

have you tried your County/Area Commissioner (International)? i know mine is great!

finally, there is David Bull (i think!) who is the National Commissioner (International) who i have contacted before and is a nice fellow!

I hope this helps you out

There are 4 British (BSWE) groups in France of which at least one is somewhere around Paris. Unfortunately they don't have a contact address on the BSWE website but you could try our area commisioner or HQ and ask for the DC for France.

Also, there's about half a dozen different types of Scouts in France. They are Scouts (pronounced Scoots) or Eclareres (that probably isn't the correct spelling).

Some are religion based so a varied search will help.
The Outdoor Traditionalist (a largely bushcraft blog). Have a look at this how to page for things to try.
