"The Power of the Web for UK Scouts" (or Scouting)

    "Web Power for UK Scouts"

Still thinking ... (gosh, it hurts! )

although if we are being pedantic, I think it should be E-Scouts.
Oh goodee - company at last!

Something just flagged up in my head that there may be a copyright issue with the fleur-de-lys/arrowhead logo. I'm sure I remember reading that it doesn't have the same licencey thing as all the other scout logos. I'll see if I can find that, if it's true, which we'd better hope it's not.

    Simon

EDIT: OK I'm wrong. Now I just need to work out why I thought that in the first place :S

The tag line "empowering the Web for Scouts in the UK" is well known and should stay. It's part of "our" corporate identity.
all in all it is just another brick in the wall

'Empowering the web for UK Scouts' - but isn't Escouts helping to empower the web for scouters all over the world, we have many members from other countries. And being even more of an awkward git, why just UK Scouts, why encompass all members instead of just the Scouts. What about Scouting or Scouters or Worldwide Scouting.

I bet Richard hates us awkward gits. Sorry Richard.

Okay here goes, when I started Escouts, the main (and only) service was providing Free hosting to Scouting in the UK.

This fits well due to the fact that I, the Escouts team and the vast majority of those using this board are from the UK.

However I will seriously stress that like real world Scouting we welcome to this forum ANY Scout from over the globe

We are still trying to progress our goal of becoming a fellowship, and to make Escouts less focussed than it is at the moment would in my opinion be a serious mistake.

So whilst I value people's opinions, the simple fact is Escouts will remain UK focussed, with individuals of the Escouts Team having close active and significant links with the UK Scout Association, with a view to formalising the relationship. That is view of the Escouts Team.

I missed the poll ending but I like Badge B, could I be classed as bias as I am also from Humberside !!! It's different. I orderd 150 square ones for out district camp and they worked out at only about £2 each inc delivery.

Richard, how do you see the formalising of a relationship going? Would you hope to become the SAs forum and still do the hosting? the last SA survey did ask a question about a forum.
The Outdoor Traditionalist (a largely bushcraft blog). Have a look at this how to page for things to try.

Austin Lil is right, the Escouts Team are looking towards Escouts becoming a National SA Fellowship. As things stand now nothing else can be said until further matters are finalised.

As ever the Escout team members are active members of the UK Scout Association one way or another and further details if you wish to see them are in the About Us page

they are not made yet. I would imagine that either a cheque sent to an escouts team member or else it would be paypal maybe!
