It wouldn't be a uniform badge, it would be for your camp blankets.

Since my two wear their explorer unit nametapes and their group nametapes where they are young leaders - perhaps we should get Escouts Group nametapes made!?!

I believe for that to work, we would first need to become a fellowship, so were an official part of the UK Scout Association, maybe wrong tho.

they shouldn't be worn on uniform though! just for use on unofficial events and also on blankets etc.

unless the group (1st facebook / escouts etc) is reconised by TSA then the uniform bits they produce are NOT official!

the other thing is that (if i have read my POR right!) any official uniform bits need to be approved by the fellowships county(?). as escouts would hope to be a national fellowship then any official items would need to be approved by HQ...i think!!

    Hi

Okay, sent off the design, and got a quote back, am awaiting another quote or 2.

The recommended size I'm getting back due to the design is 7.5cm square, so that the design comes out well.

Once I get a few more quotes, I'll decide how many badges I'll order, then we'll finally go for it.

If you havn't already tried or are not happy with the quotes you've got I heartely recomend MBC Badges.

They are doing the Llandeilo blanket badge and are fantasticly priced and great to deal with. Quality is much better than price suggests as they give up to 25% discount to Scout Groups.

They also make Enamel Pin badges, Mouse mats, coasters etc etc etc and kneckercheifs so you could develop, I'd buy crap like that. Of coarse you still need someone to stump up the cash as you seem to have no income here?
