I'm about as South East as they come, and I've always called it a necker.

Remember; Some people are like "Slinky's". Worthless, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

If it was a scarf you wood wear it on your head or round the not rolled and held in place with a pin or ring like lady would.

Its a neckercheif and is rolled and worn with a woggle

It's a neckerchief, which is a form of the genus 'scalf'

Everyone i know calls it either a Neckerchief (formal) or a Necker (informal).

I call it a Neckerchief, and as we use a lanyard, i am forever pulling the kids for not rolling their Neckerchief.

PS. where are everyone's Neckerchief colours in their signature

I would do that but I dont know how, and ours is plain scarlet with a badge and I dont know how to put that in either! The badge is Heron's avatar. She beat me to it!

You can also do half and half ones too - like mine

    http://www.scoutbase.org.uk/library/clipart/progs/

there is also a tartan one too

    http://www.scoutbase.org.uk/library/...ogs/tartan.htm

You can also do plain colours with black lines so that they look like they have been rolled or folded

There are loads of different versions on the page, but I think this one http://www.scoutbase.org.uk/library/...t/progs/de.htm should give you what you want
