Has anyone tried the the free Access runtime from Microsoft?

I downloaded it last night to see how it would work with the Warwickshire Training Database and was generally impressed. Very pretty!

Surprisingly it runs alongside my Office XP and allows me to use both!

It's huge (51mb) and can only be used on XP SP2 and later systems. They have also released a runtime for operating systems up to Win 2K which requires Internet Explorer on the machine and is "only" 32 mb.

The DB will need a small tweak to cope with Access 2007 when I get "a round tuit". I've ordered one for Christmas!

This makes the DB completely downloadable !!!!!!!

It also means that you don't need MS Office at all, as you can also download Open Office which is compatible with the rest of the suite (not sure about compatibility with Office 2007, particularly the new Word format - anyone know?).
