Well that was my first reunion-Everybody seemed to camp except me. I met several people I knew and some escouters (curtisuk, your not a scary hoodie as your avatar suggests! :-D

I did enjoy it but was a bit disappointed at the same time. I felt like the do was winding down from the morning (indeed, there were empty display tables in the Lip am), the tethered hot air ballon ran out of gas about 11.00.

I went for dinner at just after 12 and when I got out a lot of exhibiters, stalls etc were packing up with some gusto so I feel I've paid for essentially a half day. thought there would be more bases to give me programme ideas too.

Still, I've got my hands on a Scouting 50p!

Had a great weekend, my first reunion & going it alone but had plenty of friends there & found more while I was there!
Plus it was cool to randomly put faces to names!

It's not been restrticted to woodbadge holders all this century.

My pet peeve is people who go round believing what they've heard rather than checking the facts.

Oh cloth badges- that was a big bugbear on the part of the stall-holders.

I managed to work the weekend as Service Team and not have to clean the toilets once...

Although I did do rather a lot of chair moving and car parking... if you left sunday afternoon you probably passed me on your way down the drive.

Apparently they were the coin that was in every bodies change from Sainsbury's at the Jamboree. Will had loads and came home with only one and the rotten so and so won't part with it. I guess you could say that they are in circulation, but how wide it will be at the moment I have no idea.

One of the stalls gave one out in change as a (rather nice) gimmick.
