Well done for arranging this new channel of communication, it's great to see our Chief Scout taking time out of his no doubt busy life to listen to our great Escouts "family" in this way.

This is a real feather in your white, red and er..pink birthday cap!

Just one query...Do you want questions left alone for Peter to answer, or can we add an I agree post to them? The reason I ask is that the question ninthskip has posted about the Scout age range is one that a lot of poeple would probably agree with and support.

Excellent job and thankyou Peter too.

If you could leave it for him to reply, it will then keep it neat and tidy. By all means make up a new thread in a diff forum to discuss it

To avoid people posting in these threads would it be possible to set it up so people have permission to start new threads but not post in them (apart from PD himself of course)?

i know that on some forum systems you can make it so that a duplicate of a thread in a particular forum is replicated somewhere else...maybe that would be a good idea to save ya'll some time!!!

I think this link has probably been posted elsewhere in the forum in the past but Ive recently found it useful. There are lots of different pioneering resourses on it, so plenty of ideas.

Yes it would be possible, but I unsure how free flowing this may become

I'll have a think about it

The problem would come if Peter wanted to ask a question back to the user who asked the original question...

Well maybe the original poster could have permission to reply although of course that is even more complex so again no idea if it is possible.

cant it just be a forum on which only questions will be approved and through which pdiddy himself could reply??? or is that too simple??

The permissions have now been altered so only the thread starter, Peter Duncan (and Admins) can post on a thread.

For your info Peter emailed me today, as he does !! Hes had a quick look and will answer them when some more come in.
