    [Answered] adult retention

    Hello Peter

Given that a significant number of adults leave the movement every year (as many as join, according to scoutbase fact sheets) what is being done to retain adult leaders? Does Gillwell analyse why people leave, and plan strategies to counter those factors? Clearly this rate of attrition is too high, especially in an organisation which need more and more leaders to keep up with demand.

    Thanks for your time!!

    Tomahawk,

I know it is what eveyone is concerened about. There are many ideas but I think the greatest responsiblity lies with each member. If that first point of contact is good and we can offer up what we promise then the numbers should go up.
