    Tagline / Slogan Poll

In a bid to keep people active during the holiday season, I thought that we could have this poll whilst you are all stuffing your face. It is a public vote.

    The options are:

    Empowering Scouting Online
    Empowering UK Scouting Online
    Supporting Scouting online
    Supporting UK Scouting online
Empowering the Web for UK Scouts
    Scouting the Web
    None of the above

Ooh, what fun - I love democracy in action! Can we have an X Factor style shoot out for the final three please?

    Happy Christmas Richard and all!

To a certain degree I am not sure the Tag line matters.

    a) eScouts does a great job for Scouting
    b) people probably find the hosted sites first
    c) mission statements, visions and the like are all hot air unless people like Richard and the team make it happen.

    What is eScouts? Scouts On-line!

Happy Christmas to one and all!

We would need to rig the vote then wouldn't we! he he he already planting the seed of doubt in the final result. Can we be sure the other polls haven't been rigged at all? The naughty elves are at work today, or too much brandy in the pudding.

I don't think we empower or support scouting on the web - especially seeing the growth of the discussion boards and the huge number of hosting accounts. We are Scouting on the web, we are a community and we are a friendly home of Scouting on the internet

I suppose defining what we do, in a few words is the hardest thing. The community does provide support, both Scouting wise, and technically. By giving freely the hosting the team, is in my view supporting Scouting.

I can see this one is going to run a bit!!!

i would have thought that the biggest and most unique (probably for a long long time!) thing that escouts does is to provide free hosting! this should be the focus IMO as although the forum will grow and grow, in a noticeable way, the hosting is also going to be (something like 400 accounts now isn't it?)

Supporting UK Scouts Online or something to that effect sums everything up! we do support people both in the forum and also by hosting (support in the sense of facilitating and providing the resource to do it!)

    JMHO!!!

I agree with this and it depends upon how we are defining empower and support, it could mean a number of things. Plus the problem with 'Supporting UK Scouting online' is that we have quite a few regular users of the site from other countries, isn't this being dismissive of them.
